William Shaffer

William Shaffer, the founding partner of Bouziane & Shaffer LLC, was born in Sarasota, Florida and raised in Orlando. Will received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Florida where he played Lacrosse for the Gators. He then attended Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida from 2005 to 2008. During his time at Florida Coastal, Will interned at an estate planning and elder law firm. After graduating from Florida Coastal in 2008, he returned to Sarasota to accept a position as an Assistant State Attorney for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit.

During his time at the State Attorney’s Office, Will gained significant experience and litigated over fifty jury trial cases. Over the course of his career as a prosecutor, he handled thousands of criminal cases, ranging from traffic offenses to violent felonies.

After leaving the State Attorney in 2013, Mr. Shaffer worked for a local criminal and civil litgation firm as an associate before founding the firm of Bouziane Shaffer LLC in 2014. Since that time, he has focused on estate planning, guardianships, and elder law litigation. Will lives in Bradenton with his wife, Marissa where they are raising their two children.
